Most businesses do not generally make any major changes without being forced to. Many businesses operate under the assumption that if it is not broke then you do not fix it. This kind of thinking might work for the strategy that most businesses have, however, when it comes to global warming businesses might just have to change their thinking.
Global warming is the increase in temperature of the Earth’s air and oceans and it is creating many adverse changes all across the globe. Many scientists believe that global warming is being created because of pollutants and energies that are used by businesses on a daily basis. Which is where businesses are going to need to start making a change.
Governments all across the globe are asking many private businesses and corporations to start making the necessary changes to their business models now in hopes of combating global warming to some extent. Governments believe that private businesses are able to make the necessary changes such as switching to greener energy sources, recycling and other issues faster than the government buildings.
This does not mean that a private business and corporation needs to run out and start making all the changes today. It starts out little and works its way up to larger energy saving efforts. For example, a company can start by recycling the cardboard boxes that it uses instead of tossing it out. This simple change will reduce the amount of greenhouse gases that are emitted into the air significantly.
So why should the private sector being leading the changes against global warming?
It is believed that the changes can be started on the private sector because they have less laws and restrictions on their funds. It is believed that if the private sector starts making the changes it will force government buildings and sections to make the switches regardless of the funds.
